i started using ubuntu about 8 months ago. i've been always on windows.and i must say it was easy to adapt :)
other distros i tried: knoppix, suse, mandrake (now mandriva), lindows (now former linspire)...

just try it for a couple of weeks :D

I don't know much about Linux/Unix but I have been using Windows forever and never used Mac. Would Ubuntu be a good one to start a transition into learning it better or would there be one that would be better?
